Mark Dendy performs at North Carolina Museum of Art
Choreographer Mark Dendy of Dendy DanceTheater brings an original site-specific dance installation to the grand re-opening of the North Carolina Museum of Art on Saturday, April 24 and Sunday, April 25, 2010. Dendy’s untitled work will be performed by 75 students from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem and dancers from communities across the state. The dance is just part of the free weekend festivities at the North Carolina Museum of Art, which also include live music, lectures and demonstrations by renowned artists and craftspeople and kids activities marking the opening of the museum’s new 127,000 sq. ft. exhibition space.
