Register now for a celebration of the work of poet A.R. Ammons. This symposium, scheduled for Monday, Nov. 15, and Tuesday, Nov.16, will mark a homecoming for all things related to A.R. Ammons.
In honor of one of its most famous and talented alumni, Wake Forest University will host a symposium examining his poetry, art and letters, as well as his contributions to American culture and the arts.
The symposium has three central themes: Ammons’ genius in poetry;
Ammons’ work as a gifted painter; and Ammons’ personal writings expressed through a dramatic performance of his love letters to his fiancée.
The program includes world-class speakers, a one-act play and the unveiling of 20 museum-quality paintings, all by or about A.R. Ammons.
For registration and event information, visit zsr.wfu.edu/ammons or call (336) 758-5090.
Please register by Monday, Nov. 1.
