Hooray!!!!! And congratulations to Leah, one of our favorite people on the planet. To have her win the Betts award reminds us of how important Doris has been and continues to be for our emerging and, yes, aging writers. She is a worthy model for any young writer–focused, tough, tender, probing, and always brilliant. Congratulations, Leah. We are so proud of you! Kay and Jim
