The national Business Committee for the Arts (BCA) finds support for the arts is good for business. The 2013 Business Support for the Arts survey shows an increase in philanthropy.
Businesses partner with the arts through charitable contributions, sponsorships, employee matches, in-kind services, corporate art collections, and workplace giving. About half the respondents give because they feel their community (including a business’ employees and their families) benefits from the arts: the arts improve the quality of life in the community, the arts help create a vibrant community and society, the arts improve academic performance for students and arts organizations offer education initiatives that benefit the community.
72% of current givers are inclined to increase their contribution to improve profitability because the arts can promote employee growth and creativity.
