Cary’s Susan Heiserman has been named executive director of the North Carolina Presenters Consortium (NCPC), a not-for-profit membership association that includes professional performing arts presenting organizations throughout the state, as well as industry professionals from N.C. and beyond who share the mission of bringing artists and audiences together. She will serve as the group’s chief administrative officer, and is charged with supervising and managing NCPC’s programs and activities, including its bi-annual ArtsMarket in Durham.
“As an accomplished nonprofit professional, Susan Heiserman possesses strong visionary, strategic, and operational skills that will add great value to the North Carolina Presenters Consortium,” said William Lewis, current NCPC board president.
Heiserman previously served as the artistic/managing director for the PianoForte Foundation in Chicago. A musician, she holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Collaborative Piano & Coaching (2007) from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Music in Accompanying/Coaching (2000) from East Carolina University.
